This project articulates a discourse in continuity with the author\u2019s works: Lizard\u2019s Tail and The Intimate Subversion. In it he proposes an approach to the contemporary idea of \u201cresisting,\u201d from a social, political, and historical perspective; for this, he places us in anonymous but historically relevant spaces, with a high emotional charge. Landscapes of Resistance introduces, sometimes with collage, photographs, videos, and small constructions, scenes that are somehow anonymous, altered, projected, and always with high iconographic value.<\/p>\n
Nature and the fundamental elements in it\u2014water, fire, air\u2026\u2014stand out as freed from showcases already cleared of their objects and functions: to store and display, adapting their structure in the adoption of their new role: to withstand, to resist. Photographs of landscapes abstracted from their generalities are incorporated into the project as determining examples of everything that happened, and at the same time, as a determination to resist and act.<\/p>\n
Landscapes of Resistance evolves towards places that return to us and the gathering up of those who practice another way of inhabiting and inhabiting themselves. It presents the landscape as nature intervened by man, nature as a vindication while possessed by social, cultural, and economic contexts. This work is a proposal to remember and decide.<\/p>\n
