Hidden gaze

Hidden gaze

Marcos places the origins of his gaze in a space that lies between desire and reality, as a construction resulting from the historical fact of having replaced seduction with production. Since the artist deliberately keeps himself aloof from the signifi cant discourses of production that is characteristic of the modern world, he distances us from the path of demonstration, the visible, calculable, etc. and instead draws us into the game of appearances, ambiguity and enigma.
